EPHC is delighted to report that Women’s Voices for the Earth, a Missoula-based NGO focused on the disproportionate impacts of consumer product chemicals on women’s health, has made an impact on leading consumer products company, SC Johnson. As a result of an open letter to SC Johnson, the company is taking a look at additional data on the fragrance chemical galaxolide. EPHC and Women’s Voices would like to see SC Johnson shift from a risk assessment framework to a precautionary framework when assessing chemical ingredients.
