I regularly conduct research on the health and environmental impacts of chemicals in products and manufacturing processes and options for safer alternatives. I have researched the impacts of flame retardants (starting in 2001), institutional and household cleaning products, garment cleaning solvents, antibacterial compounds, endocrine-disrupting compounds such as Bisphenol-A and phthalates. I’ve researched chemical use and alternatives in the health care sector, hotel cleaning, residential cleaning services, electronics, furniture, interior textiles, toys, personal care products and cosmetics, among others. See below for summaries and details of presentations from my current and past research activities.
